My new easel

I bought an ginormous easel with art money I've made.  I need a tall easel because I'm so tall and painting weird hurts my neck. So now I have this enormous easel, and here is Russell setting it up for me.  Thank you honey!  Life is so good when you're married to Russell Dibb.  He is always so thoughtful, supportive, and just kind!  I love him.

He is always willing to listen to me talk about my art, and then he'll also say what he thinks.  He doesn't have the "artist's eye" or anything, so it's hard for him to give me feedback.  But he's the "common man" viewer, so that's really valuable.  He just likes normal looking things and isn't edgy.

Here is a typical exchange. I was showing him my clouds in the NYC painting.  There's a long pause.  Then he's like, "Well.  I don't know. They're ok."

Me. "So you don't know what's wrong with them, and you don't know how to fix them, but they look weird."

Russ. "Yes.  But the painting looks great.  I love the temple."

So I know when he likes it and doesn't.
